HTC Gratia

HTC seems to be on a verge to announce the new mobile phones as it announced its latest Android™ device, the HTC Gratia. Within weeks of announcing HTC Desire HD and HTC 7 Surround, the company has revealed its plans to bring the latest device that will run on the updated version of Android™ (v2.2- Froyo). It has been speculated that the price tag of Gracia will be around 3000 Euros. The device had already made appearance in the US market with a different name (HTC Aria), and it is expected to hit the European market by the year-end.

HTC Gratia seems to be a good combination of functionality and style. The compact and stylish device comes with a flawless and soft wrap around cover that eradicates the hard corners. The device weighs just 115 grams, and its length is over ten centimeter, which assures the fact that it can be handled quite easily. Other major highlights of the handset include Qualcomm CPU at 600 MHz, Bluetooth® 2.1, Wi-Fi® b/g, GPS, a digital compass, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.

HTC Gratia – The HTC Sense Experience

HTC Sense is a popular interface that many HTC handsets combine. Gratia is also loaded with it and hence it will provide you with excellent benefits. The device will work in a more natural and personal way, and you will get access to several features that come unexpected to you. This interface also provides an application called Friend Stream that will help you to stay connected with your friends. With this application, all the updates of different social networks will get organized in a single flow of update, which will help you to remain connected with your friends easily.

HTC Gratia – Network and Connectivity

The importance of network and connectivity is massive for any mobile phone. The basic requirement for the mobile phones is to establish communication and for that there must be a good network support. HTC Gratia also includes good network support with its quad band GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 and dual band HSDPA 900/ 2100. In terms of connectivity, the basic connectivity options are provided by Class 10 GPRS and Edge where the speed of GPRs is 32 – 48 kbps and EDGE is 236.8 kbps. However, it is quite natural that this level of speed is not enough to access and use the high-end features and applications of the device. Therefore, HTC includes the power of Wi Fi 802.11 b/g and 3G HSDPA that supports speed up to 7.2 mpbs. Transferring data and files to/from other compatible devices is also included within the connectivity feature. HTC Gratia comes with Bluetooth® v2.1 and microUSB v2.0 for this purpose.

HTC Gratia – The Appearance

The appearance of Gratia is smooth and attractive. The edges of the device are smooth and its soft covering brilliantly complements its high-end display. The frontal portion of the display is dominated by the screen and the touch sensitive keys. These keys are positioned at the bottom of the screen and on top of that, the logo of HTC is placed. The phone measures 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and it weighs 115 grams only, which shows that the device can be easy handled and carried.

Now, let us focus on the display of the handset. The display is definitely among the best features of the device. Gratia comes with a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen that boasts 256,000 colours and a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Other prominent highlights of the display includes Accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn off, HTC Sense UI, flip to mute call, optical trackpad, and HTC Sense UI.

HTC Gratia – the Memory

Gratia is a smart phone that runs on the latest version of Android™. This means the device is loaded with several top features and applications. To ensure that these features and applications run smoothly without any interruptions, it is essential that the memory capacity of the device is good. With a poor storage capacity, you cannot expect to enjoy features of the phone perfectly. Therefore, Gratia comes loaded with a good memory option. Its internal memory is 512 MB ROM and 384 MB RAM, and there is a card slot where you can insert microSD™ card and expand the memory up to 32GB, which is huge. I addition to that, you will also get a 2 GB microSD™ card free at the time of purchase.

HTC Gratia- The Camera

There are many mobile phone users that are fascinated with the camera feature. Some people purchase a device only because the integrated camera is of good quality.
